Conference Space & Rates

The Institute's facilities include a well-appointed conference room that opens to a broad terrace with spectacular views of Howe Sound and the North Shore Mountains. The beautiful site and bright, open design create a welcoming atmosphere for creative academic activity.

The conference room, operated for the Institute's programs, may be rented to UBC affiliates for conferences, meetings, dining, talks, retreats, and similar research related events only. The room is 72 square meters (775 square feet) in size. Capacity varies according to room setup.

The conference rooms are wheelchair-accessible.

All bookings require catering, available exclusively from Sage Catering. Weekend bookings require full catering. Audio-visual equipment, included in the rental fee, will be provided upon request and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Available equipment includes LCD projectors, cable TV, VCR, DVD, a digital document camera (overhead projector), conference telephone, and flip charts. Cable TV, VCR, and DVD are available in the large conference room only.

All bookings are subject to approval by the Assistant Director.

Payments may be made by UBC journal voucher or cheque.

Catering
Full catering services are available to the conference area for lunches, dinners, or receptions. Catering is provided exclusively by Sage Catering. Arrangements can be made by contacting (604) 822-0429.
